Only swimmers, coaches, and meet personnel will be allowed on the pool deck at any time. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms.
Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited. The Meet Director reserves the right to limit the number of entries in any event in order to run the meet within the time allocated.
We will take a 5—10 minute break after events 7, The Meet Director reserves the right to insert additional breaks to provide sufficient rest for the swimmers between events. Swim testing for IRONMAN Open water swimming is very different than pool swimming due to having to sight aka see where you're goingdeal with the sun, potential chop, and currents. The one piece of advice I repeat over and over is to get in the open water as often as possible and learn to become comfortable with these issues. More than anything, swimming well in open water is about experience. With that being said, my swim test is based off a long straight swim of at least 1, to 2, yards.
