Above ground there is a gym, aerobics studios, squash courts and main hall. The leisure park is home to the Milestones Museum which contains a network of streets and buildings based on the history of Hampshire. Basingstoke has a football club, Basingstoke Town F. Due to difficulty finding a suitable venue, the team practice in nearby Whitchurch. Basingstoke is also the home of Rising Phoenix Cheer, a successful competitive Allstar Cheerleading programme for athletes from age 5 upwards, training at Aldworth school.
Plans have recently been announced for a new multimillion-pound sports facility at Down Grange, which would be suitable for many sports. Toby also helped the junior team to take home the team trophy at the Bournemouth Open and continuously supports the junior team to be one of the top teams in the country.
He is totally committed to the sport and always turns up to every class with his enthusiastic and happy coaching style. She coaches twice a week and also plays a big role in organising track meetings and has committee posts in 2 of the leading cross country leagues. Liz has the highest qualification, level 4, and has judged at many events, including disability. She is also Team Manager at cross country events, as time allows, and is a great mentor to new officials.
He was also invited to be the President of the County Swimming Association for He regularly devotes time to club swim meets at all levels and is a presence at disability competitions up to regional level. Denise Mogg Basingstoke Ice Hockey Denise is always positive and professional and having been around Ice Hockey for so many years she has been there and done it all before.
She can provide advice on equipment needed, where to buy, makes etc. Denise is very keyed up on the EIHA rules and regulations and is extremely reliable. She provided training for all the managers and game day volunteers on new electronic time sheets that have now replaced the paper ones, and also attended training sessions and game days to provide those doing it for the 1st time with that extra support.
Sue has a very different set of challenges from other coaches as her athletes are a transient group, moving from her beginners group to established training groups.
