Quantum entanglement is a fascinating subject indeed. The book uses the people who have been involved with the topic to frame the different explanations. This is a highly accessible yet technically well researched introduction to the bizarre phenomenon of entanglement entanglfment the scientists who have helped to discover it.

If it weren’t for all of the rigorous data behind “the most successful theory in science” I would have trouble believing entanglement is nothing more than the rantings of a bunch of really smart crackpots. It is obvious that this cannot be explained in any meaningful way to those of us who are used to thinking in terms of large particles — those bigger than any covered by quantum theory.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. However, later sections of the book get bogged down in minutiae.

Can two particles become inextricably linked, so that a change in one is instantly reflected in its counterpart, even if a universe separates them? When Aczel was 21, he studied at the University of California, Berkeley.

After our meeting Rosie did some further investigation about the Bohm interpretation of quantum mechanics, and found quite a netanglement presentation of this more materialist and determinist view at these two links: Amir, like the fine science writer he was, covered a diversity of topics well — including my favorite, mathematics. He accepted a professorship entanglemsnt Bentley College in Massachusettswhere he taught classes on the history of science and the history of mathematics.

Book Review: Entanglement

He begins by explaining that “entanglement” occurs when two subatomic particles are somehow connected—or “entangled”—with one another, so that when something happens to one particle, the same thing simultaneously happens to the other particle, even if it’s miles away. Aug entangleent, Ergun Coruh rated it it was ok. This early history occupies the first half of the book, so that readers who’re already familiar with the history may become impatient enranglement get to the more recent “good stuff”.

Want to Read saving…. Entanglement’s early chapters provide some of the best explanations I have ever encountered of the entanglement phenomena as well as some other quantum mechanical concepts.

He agreed with Rich about the good short biographies. Either way, it serves as another piece of the puzzle towards finding a theory of everything TOE.

What Does It All Mean?

I am not comfortable with the degree of assurance the author presents, not about entanglement itself, but about how entanglement fits into a larger cosmological scheme. An okay introduction to entanglement, but get lost in the history and experimental setups.

Trying to reconcile quantum mechanics with a theory of gravity is the current dilemma among scientists in the field, and this is but one finding to help fill in the blanks.

The Entanglemnet Books of That is a huge, unforgivable oversight.

This is a quick, easy read with an enlightening high-level overview of the mysteries and advances in understanding quantum entanglement. Author starts his book with biographies of huge names of physicists, pioneers with their experiments and new discoveries in the world of physics. But he did enjoy the book, and gave it a rating of 6.
