As a tax preparer, use this form to gain consent from each client to act as their representative with the CRA. Based on the selection you make on the RC59OnlineConsent form, TaxCycle will guide you to complete the correct sections of the other forms if required.
In options, you can also see the default values for fields on the RC These are then entered on the form when you create or carry forward a file. They will also trigger a review message if the form doesn’t match the default set in options.
This process may take up to 30 days. To allow enough time for the review of your application before the filing season starts, we encourage you to renew your application as soon as possible. At the top of the RC59OnlineConsent worksheet, select what kind of authorization to prepare for the taxpayer. For example, you must select a consent type that includes “online access” to transmit an RC If you already submitted a RC59 in prior years or through some other way, select this option and you will no longer be prompted to complete the RC If you previously submitted a RC59 using TaxCycle in the prior year and then carried forward the return, TaxCycle automatically sets this option.
Unless you enter an expiry date for the authorization in Part 4the authorization remains in effect until the taxpayer or the representative cancels it. Print this page and have the authorized person of the business sign and date it. By default, TaxCycle requires you confirm the taxpayer has signed the RC59TransmissionConsent before you can transmit. You can use the form to cancel all representatives or all programs for a business, or to cancel a specific program, reference number, RepID, GroupID or Business Number. If this happens, you will see the following items and screen capture apply to all transmission types, not just T1 EFILE:.

RC59 forms and worksheets RC59OnlineConsent —Complete this new worksheet to electronically transmit consent for online access.
The details entered on this worksheet are used to complete the RC59TransmissionConsent form that your client must sign before you can submit the RC59 electronically. The CRA does not provide an official copy of this form.
This worksheet is our own design based on requirements set by the CRA. Therefore you cannot file this form by mailing it to the CRA.
The details on this crra must be transmitted to the CRA using the RC59 transmission process; they are not included in the T2 corporation internet filing. Similar to the TCorp for T2 returns, you must keep this signed form on file for 6 years from the transmission date. Do not send it to the CRA unless requested to do so. This form must be mailed to the CRA. Your client must sign this form before you can transmit. Or, if you are on the Start screen, click Options in the blue bar on the left.
The settings below are accessible from section on the left-hand side of the Options dialog box. If you need to use a different Preparer or Firm Name on these authorization forms, enter that name on the page.
If you want a different name on Alberta AT1 forms, enter it on this page. To set different options for a particular module, expand rv59 section and click on a module. Click OK or Apply to save your changes. Always use the latest password given to you. Click OK to r59 the options.

Authorize a representative for your business
Program accounts Complete Part 3 to indicate which accounts you wish to have access to: Check the box in column 1 to gain access to all program accounts and reference numbers. Do not complete column 2 or 3. Select a program identifier from column 2 to just gain access to a specific program —payroll or GST for example. Enter a reference number in column 3 to gain access to a specific reference number for the program selected in column 2. This table allows multiple rows, so you can complete more rows to gain access to more than one program or reference number.
Level of authorization Set the level of authorization representing a client in Part 4. Level 1 allows the CRA to only disclose information to you on the program accounts.
Level 2 allows the CRA to disclose information to you on the program accounts and to accept changes to the accounts. Level 3 allows you to delegate authority and makes changes to the representatives on the accounts, as well as allowing the CRA to disclose and accept changes.
Do this from the transmit sidebar: TaxCycle gc59 the signing date and the name of the person who confirmed the signature. Transmit the RC59 Once you confirm the signature outstanding errors, the form is Ready to transmit. Successful transmission results If an RC59 transmission is successfulyou will see: The box shows the date and time of the transmission.
The CRA does not provide a unique confirmation number. Click the RC59 Electronic Transmission Results link to view the worksheet which contains a full list of the results from all transmission attempts. If you need to re-transmit, click Dismiss all CRA messages and start again. This number may be useful if you need to contact the CRA regarding an error. This rechecks the return for outstanding errors before returning to the transmission step.
Complete the rest of the form. Have your client sign it. Mail it to the CRA. Follow the steps in this box to electronically file the form. Print the form, obtain your client’s signature and confirm that signature in the Transmit sidebar. The CRA will return results from the transmission. Please note that the CRA does not return ccra unique confirmation number for successful transmissions. Instead, rf59 appears as a time stamp upon receipt of the form.
Go to the File menu, then click on Info.
Find the record of the transmission in the list. Click the second save button the one with the green arrow to save a copy of the response sent back from the CRA. TaxCycle also updates the workflow information for the taxpayer. See the Workflow groups and craa help topic. If rca happens, you will see the following items and screen capture apply to all transmission types, not just T1 EFILE: This means that TaxCycle could not connect with the CRA system and no attempt at filing the return was made.
TaxCycle will run a check on your Internet connection and display the results.
